The 27th annual 12x12 Art Fundraiser provides support for OVAC’s programs, making Oklahoma a place where visual artists thrive. It will take place Friday, September 29, 2017 at 50 Penn Place.
Individual Artists of Oklahoma (IAO) is pleased to announce the 32nd Annual Biting the Apple fundraiser and art exhibition. Celebrating 32 years, Biting the Apple is IAO's annual fundraiser and provides a venue for artists working in provocative and erotic subjects. An important part of IAO’s mission, the Biting the Apple fundraiser supports IAO’s programming and supports individual artists of all disciplines through a provocative event and entertaining party. The event will be held over two nights, at IAO Gallery, 706 West Sheridan on Film Row in downtown Oklahoma City.

VIP tickets include early access to both nights at 7pm, and access to exclusive entertainment and open bar in the VIP Lounge. The VIP Sponsor hour from 7-8 on Friday gets VIP's a chance to see and purchase art before the audience with an open bar. Saturday, skip the bar line at 7pm and taste local foods off a live nude model.
The Momentum exhibition works with Oklahoma artists ages 30 and younger in a venue created specifically for them, helping them gain experience and meet new audiences. Attendees encounter film, performance, new media, installation, music and more.

Nestled in the heart of the historic Paseo arts district, In Your Eye Studio & Gallery is home to a small, distinctive group of artists. Creating art in bold, diverse styles, they exhibit a striking array of two- or three-dimension pieces. The media they use are as diverse as their styles and includes: acrylic, oil, photography, fiber, mixed media, wood, jewelry and basketry.
Besides the ever-changing, compelling artwork in the main gallery, In Your Eye hosts monthly exhibits in the back gallery. These exhibits may debut a new artistic path by one of its member artists, introduce a guest artist, or even host an exhibit by an organization that benefits the Oklahoma City area. ArtNow, an annual exhibition and art sale, showcases works from Oklahoma’s top artists. The ArtNow event, held on the final night of the exhibition, helps to raise funds to keep Oklahoma Contemporary exhibitions free of charge to the public throughout the year. The Oklahoma artists featured in the exhibit also attend the party so that guests can learn about the artists’ works and creative process.
The 2017 exhibition will run Jan. 9-20, ending with the "party with a purpose" the night of Jan. 20. Event details, including how to purchase tickets, can be found here.
