Jessica Sanchez’s and Phillip Phillip’s Albums per Joshua Ledet

A lot of Idol fans may wonder why it is that the top ranked Idol finalists – you know the ones that make it to the finale and take the number 1 and 2 spots in the competition – get their debut albums produced so quickly while the rest of the pack don’t seem to make any progress at all within the first few months after the season ends.

According to Joshua Ledet, the 3rd place finisher on the 11th American Idol season, the fact of the matter is that the powers that be want to see the big winners get their albums made and dropped before the rest of the pack muddies up the waters.  That is probably why Jessica Sanchez is expecting her album to be out around October or November – something she has mentioned repeatedly in the last few weeks.

It is rumored that Jessica Sanchez is working with the same record label as Phillip Phillips, and according to both of the newly crowned Idols (one the big winner, the other the runner up) Phillip is expecting his album to hit the shelves in November or December of this year.

Whatever there reason, it is common knowledge among Idol fans that if your favorite was eliminated from the competition early on, you can expect to wait a while to buy their debut album.  On the other hand, fans of the more popular contestants – such as this season’s Jessica Sanchez – can expect their Idol’s album to hit store shelves within months of the completion of the competition.
