Well, we all know how busy newly minted Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez is – and has been for a while. The 16-year-old is currently touring with the other 9 top 10 Idol finalists. She is working on a new album. She is planning a trip to the Philippines. She is setting up Skype Parties with her die-hard fans. And now, apparently, she is fantasizing about a duet with HER idol, Eminem.
You may be scratching your head at that last one. I mean, from what Jessica Sanchez displayed during her Idol run, a potty-mouthed rapper would probably be the last person you’d expect her to be singing with, let alone WANTING to be singing with.
The fact of the matter is that Jessica has expressed quite a bit of dissatisfaction at the songs she sung while she was competing on the show. She has repeatedly indicated that they don’t express her personal style at all and, on top of that, they never really gave her the opportunity to showcase the full range of her abilities like she truly wanted to.
In fact, in no other instance was this more the case than her finale song, which she knew right away would prevent her from winning the title.
All of this being said, Jessica Sanchez has recently revealed that she LOVES Eminem. Both because of his lyrics and because he FEELS them – and his listeners know it. And she believes that their talents would work well together – both good reasons to arrange for a duet.
