The 16 year old “Idol” runner up Jessica Sanchez admitted on her interview with MTV News that she’s a huge fan of American rapper-songwriter Eminem. In fact, she wanted to start her professional singing career collaborating with the latter.
According to Jessica’s statement, “This is going to seem odd, but I love Eminem” and she added “He has so much conviction and emotion in the way he raps; every word that he raps, you feel it. And I think our talents would mesh. So, hopefully, it could happen, and I would just die if he’d collaborate with me,”
People who have seen the interview was quite shocked about Jessica’s revelation. Her way of singing and her choice of songs were very far from that of Eminem’s taste. She also added on the interview that she consider Beyonce Knowles as her inspiration in music but still she would prefer working with Eminem on her first album.
May be a lot of Eminem fans would also be very thrilled with the idea of the two working together. Eminem whose real name is Marshal Bruce Mathers III is one of the worlds best-selling artist of the 2000’s. He was listed and ranked as one of the greatest artist of all time by mane magazines including Rolling Stone magazine which has ranked him 82nd on its list of The 100 Greatest Artistits of All Time. It is the same magazine that declared him The King of Hip Hop including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil.
Eminem has sold more than 42 million tracks and 41 million albums in the US and nearly 90 million albums worldwide. His music lingered to the minds of most Americans because the singer has this unique way of making people love his music and understand the message he’s trying to deliver.
We’ll just cross our fingers that Jessica would reach this very dream of working with Eminem. It would thrill her to the bone for sure.
