A not-so-good News to Jessica Sanchez’s Filipino fans, the girl with the powerhouse voice will not be having a solo concert in Manila anytime soon, this because a so-called US-based Filipino agent, who was known for anomalous deals as an agent for visiting foreign concert acts had ruined the negotiations.

Many Filipinos had been dying to see Jessica and watch her perform in person. It is widely known that Jessica being a half-filipino has been receiving a huge support from Filipino fans all over the country.

Jessica will be performing instead a few numbers as part of the “Idol” tour which includes a stop at Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 21.

There were also rumors that Jessica will be a front act for Jennifer Lopez’s concert which is set on November 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

But according to Lopez’s promoter, all of this isn’t confirmed yet as well as Jessica’s participation on the show.

According to sources, local promoters had been bidding for Jessica to perform solo in Manila prior to “Idol’s” Season Finale. The only problem was that, this so-called US-based Filipino agent joined the bidding but only to back out when the quoted amount were sad to have reached $800,000. Because some sources said that the agent had no promoter to back her up.

Without him knowing, a very famous businessman in the Philippines named Ben Chan was interested to support Jessica’s concert but somehow change his mind when learned about the US-based Filipino agent.

      Once again, Jessica Sanchez sang the US National Anthem thrice in a row in huge occasions. First was at the US Memorial Day Concert at the Whitehouse in Washington, D.C. on May 28, followed by the very controversial Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley Fight at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas on June 9 and yesterday at the very much awaited kicked off Game 1 of the NBA Basketball finals between Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat held in Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City.

Jessica’s performance was absolutely perfect that she left the fans in awe as deafening applause filled the arena. She received a lot of praises and was talked about even on social networking sites. The hashtag #JessicaonNba became top1 trending topic locally. She was even called the National Anthem Singer because of the performances she had. Her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was just perfect and smooth and so good to the ears. No wonder why she was invited to big occasions such as the three mentioned.

Jessica Sanchez nailed it again according to many people. The little girl with a powerhouse voice never fails to strike people with her strong yet sweet voice.

On an interview, Sanchez stated that she was quite disappointed with the results of the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, she somehow expected Pacquiao to win. The boxing champ confessed on some interviews that he was a huge fan of Jessica. This must be why Jessica was showing her support to Pacman as well.

 Robert Talon supported and mentored Jessica Sanchez all throughout the “Idol” competition. According to Talon, when Sanchez was almost got eliminated on the top 6, it affected her so much and made her try even harder. That night was memorable because Jessica was declared out and while singing her goodbye song, the judges stopped her and Lopez told her that she’s not going home. Though many people felt bad especially the Filipinos  about Jessica for singing the American national anthem instead of the Philippine national anthem during the Pacquiao-Bradley boxing fight at Las Vegas, the sweet girl Jessica still hopes that one day she might be singing the Philippine national anthem on Pacquiao’s future fights. This girl had been the favorite of Filipino communities and many had voted for her during the American Idol Season 11, especially during the finale , since Jessica have a Filipino blood because of her parents were Filipinos too, but she was just born and raised in the America.

On an interview on a known network in the Philippines (ABS-CBN) before the fight, she said that she wants to learn and know how to speak tagalong very soon, “I want to sing ‘Lupang Hinirang most definitely. I don’t speak any Tagalog but I’ve sung in Tagalog before so maybe in the future,”

Jessica also added during the interview that sometimes asked her mom to teach her to speak the Filipino language since she don’t speak any language besides English. Lastly before the fight started, Pacqiuao invited Jessica to get along with. She said, “It was amazing. I can’t even believe I’m here right now. It was an honor to meet him and Freddie (Roach). I can’t wait to sing,”. Jessica is a very flexible woman that she can always fits herself in wherever she goes. Many had noticed that she is not hard to approach with because this 26-year old girl is always kind, polite to everybody and always has a smile on her face.

  Idol has truly changed Jessica’s life 360 degrees. After the season finale of “Idol”, she finds herself singing on stages, on live shows, interviews etc. In NY, she has been making rounds of TV show hopping and was also a guest at the Today Show where she was interviewed by host Matt Lauer.

The 16 year old stated that everything has not sunk in yet and that she still cant believe she’s where she was. When asked how “Idol” changed her life, her response was that it changed her life dramatically. She pointed to the mob of fans saying “that is not normal”. And that “Idol” gave her step to succeeding in her career and that she’s very excited.

Jessica shared that she’s been mobbed practically like everywhere. The thing about it is all new to her and that she’s exhausted but also excited to do just everything. Jessica also stated that she never envisioned things to be like they were and that she knew already that she’s going to be really very busy in the next months and she’s not regretting anything at all.

She thanked her fans for staying with her all through out and for supporting her in dream of becoming an American Idol.

A lot of fans from across the nation were there just to see her in person. They all have the same comment about her, about her being sweet and that her talent will surely take her places and that she may have not won the “idol”  but in their hearts, she is the winner.

After the Idol Finale, Jessica Sanchez’s schedules of activities have gone crazy. There are so many work piled up for her, rehearsals, invitations, interviews etc. But the young idol runner up is enjoying what she has right now.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in the past week, Jessica said that what people saw on “Idol” was a totally different singer from the kind of singer that she wanted to become.

She told Rolling Stone that she is not a pop singer at all that’s why the viewers got so confused when she sang her single that was a straight pop song.

On being called “BB Chez”, according to Sanchez it was a name she and her friends created for a joke and now the nickname became famous as that’s how she is now called. She talks about how “BB Chez” became her alter ego and how different she and BB is and how totally different person she is when performing on stage and that the Jessica on stage is very confident compared to who she really was. She was shy and timid and doesn’t talk much, while the Jessica on stage is of a totally different package. She also talked about not having a single regret for joining “Idol” and the experience brought her to where she was right now.

When asked about her plans for the future, Jess said about working on college stuff as a back up but music would be her major priority next to her family. She has not yet decided to what school she’ll consider for College, she hasn’t thought about it much but she was pretty much confident that all will come in due time.

Well Jess is still 16, there’s still plenty of time so let’s just give her some space to enjoy fame and her musical career.

       American idol runner up Jessica Sanchez is set to sing the National Anthem for the upcoming Timothy Bradley versus Manny Pacquiao World Welterweight Championship fight this coming Saturday, June 9 at 9:00pm.

Jessica was thrilled with the idea as she bragged about it on her facebook page. This is a very good exposure for her since this is considered as a much awaited fight and as expected there will be 16, 000 people watching. Aside from the live audience, the fight will be aired on pay-per-view so her performance will be viewed all over the world.

Manny Pacquiao on the other hand was huge fan of Jessica, he expressed his support to the latter during an interview with Abs-Cbn network. He even tried to watch “Idol” but came in very late. He was really rooting for Jessica to win and he’s very proud that she’s a half Filipino.

This is going to be another big time exposure for Jessica and a good way to rehearse and prepare for the kickoff of the American Idol Live! Tour on the 6^th of July.

A lot of people saying she was chosen to sing for the fight because of her brilliant performance when she also sang the anthem at the National Memorial Day Concert 2012. She sang so beautifully that even just watching the video of it on YouTube could really make me cry. I will no longer be surprised if after the Bradley-Pacquiao fight, Jess will be invited to sing the anthem again for a different occasion.

      Despite their busy schedule, President Benigno Aquino and Jessica Sanchez will be meeting up in Los Angeles on the 10^th of this Month, this was according to the Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda after Aquino’s send-off event. Aquino was scheduled to visit the United Kingdom and the US for business purposes. Lacierda clearly stated that Aquino’s last destination in the US would be in LA to meet up with business groups and lastly with Sanchez.

        In an interview with Abs-Cbn News last June 1, Sanchez expressed her greatest thanks to the Filipino’s who supported her all throughout. And she also expressed her wish to meet with the President Aquino.

        According to the Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, this meeting with the President Aquino and Jessica was so hard to set up since both parties have a tight schedule. President Aquino meeting up with business groups and Jessica with the “Idol” tour going on and some performances and appearances where she was already booked.

        Valte stated that the President’s itinerary was really tight so there is still a slim chance that the two will not be able to meet up in LA.

         During the whole competition, Sanchez received a very strong and huge support from Filipino’s. Her Filipina mother’s relatives and friends would gather and watch the live telecast of AI on television. This was how they supported Sanchez even if they hadn’t seen her in person yet. They felt like they knew her the way they showed their undying support. Well, it was all worth it considering she’s a  runner up, not bad at all.

The 16 year old “Idol” runner up Jessica Sanchez admitted on her interview with MTV News that she’s a huge fan of American rapper-songwriter Eminem. In fact, she wanted to start her professional singing career collaborating with the latter.

According to Jessica’s statement, “This is going to seem odd, but I love Eminem” and she added _{“He has so much conviction and emotion in the way he raps; every word that he raps, you feel it. And I think our talents would mesh. So, hopefully, it could happen, and I would just die if he’d collaborate with me,”}
